Smoked Kingfish Recipe
Today's article will be my favorite smoked fish recipe! Everyone has different taste and ways to do it so here is mine:
All I do is cover the fish with 100% Orange Juice, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, salt (depending how much you like), and about 10 shakes of All Spice.
I let it sit in the refrigerator for about 72 hours before I smoke it.
Smoking the Fish
I use hickory wood chips for this recipe and depending on the fish thickness I smoke the fish for about 3 hours give or take. If you want to make fish dip, I would smoke the fish until its a little drier. If you want to eat the fish with crackers/ cheese I would smoke the fish and take it off when its nice and juicy. All personal preference when it comes to smoking the fish!
Its a very simple recipe for anyone who likes smoked fish.
This fish used in the pictures was the 28.5lb kingfish I caught off the Bahamas in one of my other articles!
