10 Fishing Lakes In San Diego County
Southern California is one of the only places in the world where you can catch tuna in the morning and cast a line for trout in the afternoon. San Diego county has one of the world's most unique fisheries and you should get out and enjoy it. Below are a list of San Diego County Fishing Lakes. Note that each lake has different rules and some have specific fishing days and permits that are required to fish there.
1) Lake Otay
This lake which is open only three days a week has plenty of large bass, and catfish to target it includes a launch ramp as well as a tackle shop and access to rental boats.

2) Lake Cuyamaca
Lake Cuyamaca is WAY out east. But it has some of the counties best trout fishing. Anglers can rent boats as well as Cabins alongside the lake.

3) Chollas Lake Park
Chollas Lake park has a fishing clinic every weekend and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 am - 2:30pm.

6)San Vicente Lake Resevoir
This lake is way out of town and was closed for about 8 years. This makes for some great fishing!
8) Sweet Water Reservoir
Known for good bass and Crappie fishing, this lake is open Saturdays and Sunday's and requires a $5.00 pass.
