Is It Bad To Use Colored Fishing Lines?

Our most popular fishing line is clear fishing line.  That is because it is the least visible monofilament fishing line underwater.  Some anglers ask us if that mean its bad to use a colored fishing line, and the short answer to that is NO.

Do Fish See Colored Fishing Lines?

It is not bad to use a colored fishing line for several reasons.  For one, after 60 feet, most colors are invisible anyways.  This question sometimes leads to another question : "Do fish see my fishing line?".

Another reason that colored fishing lines don't really matter is because you can always add a leader , especially a fluorocarbon leader to reduce the visibility of your fishing line.
