The rig mentioned in the video can be used on bonito, mackerel, blue runners, bluefish and even ladyfish. Basically any bait that is no longer than 20in really.

The videos posted below actually show this method in use!

On days with little to no current, we all know how slow the bite can be. It seems as if fish aren't hungry and not moving at all. By slow trolling you can find these sluggish fish by covering water. While drift fishing can be deadly, it is usually unproductive when theres no current as you don't move much and fish aren't moving either.

Additionally fish tend to want a frantic, fast moving bait to entice them to eat. Bullet bonito, mackerel and blue runners are hardy, fast moving baits that put out some crazy vibrations of distress This is what triggers big pelagics to eat a lot of time!
