Top 4 Fishing Tips
There are many reasons that 10% of fishermen catch 90% of the fish. Below are just a couple:
1) Preparation
Of course you cant be prepared for every scenario, but you can try. I like to have an idea of exactly what the day will bring before I leave the dock but it usually does not play out exactly as I have planed. It doesn't matter if you are fishing from land, kayak, center console or a 65' sport fish if you are not prepared and using the right tools you are setting your self up for failure.
2) Being Open To New Techniques
I am always ready to switch gears and try something new. Things are always changing on the water. So keep an open mind and be willing to try new things. What worked yesterday might not work today.
3) Learn To Read The Conditions
Different water conditions like clarity and current, wind and cloud cover can change everything. Something as simple as scaling down terminal tackle if the water has become cleaner or the fish seem to be less active can make a big difference. Try adding the proper weight jig head, lure or leader to match the amount of current your fishing. If your bait is not in the depth the fish are in its harder for them to see it and more importantly eat it.
4) The Devil Is In The Details Bottom line is keep an open mind and pay attention to the little things.
