Traveling As A Fishing Mate
Hey guys, my name is Scotty Pierce Jr and I am a Sportfisherman traveling the world in search of the elusive Blue Marlin. I started out in Morehead City fishing for redfish and then worked my way up to Blue Marlins. My first job was working on the charter boat Offshore III owned and ran by the legend himself Captain Buddy Harris.
For my first job with Captain Harris, I learned a lot, if it was tying knots to wise words that I will be able to carry on with my throughout my life. After my job with buddy, the next winter I fished with Capt Mark Chambers out Oregon Inlet, NC commercially for Bluefin Tunas. We had an exceptional season with three fish (505,404, 231) we made some really good money and I learned a lot from Capt Mark and hope to fish with him again.
Right now I am working on the Nemesis in Kauai, Hawaii for Captain Darrin Auger, we currently fish a 33' Bertram and have just recently acquired a 46' Merritt called the Mollie Whopper. In the past week we have seen a slow bite with only one blue marlin to show for and pulled off a couple more fish. In the next week we hope to see some more fish. I hope we can catch a big one so I can share it with you guys. If any of you guys have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, I love talking about Sportfishing as I can imagine you do as well.
