TFT Southern California Weekly Land Based Shark Report:

Ventura County:

Swell and rip has returned to haunt out VC contacts. If you can keep baits out you can probably manage to score a bite or two, but time is better spent commuting farther south for some of the LA county activity!

Los Angeles County:

Bottom dwellers abound! Bat Rays are on tap, and the leopard sharks are biting solidly. Again the Bullbuster leader material really work well here (https://bullbuster.net/monolea...). The best approach is smaller finbaits, half mackerel or whole sardines will get bit. Its only going to get better as the season ramps up!

Orange County:

Some solid rays being caught still for the OC, and some activity starting to ramp up in the bay and harbors as well. There has been some toothy activity as with last week, some of the piers have started to see the occasional Soupfin, a welcome bonus! Be sure to run wire (https://bullbuster.net/wire) for these hard fighters, you don't want the heartbreak of a bite off! The thresher seem to have taken a break, but they'll be back sooner than later!

San Diego County:

Activity continues to be good down south, got a few reports of much nicer grade fish lost in the surf! Definitely worth the trek! Again focus on those night time bites and pick locations based on swell and weed conditions for the best shot.
