TFT Southern California Weekly Land Based Shark Report

Ventura County Shark Fishing Report:

Giant swells and weed have led to very difficult fishing, as per usual. Not much to report this week, a few scattered rays but nothing major going down in the VC. I you try anyway, be prepared with a strong, abrasion resistant mono like Bullbuster Monofilament !

Los Angeles County Shark Fishing Report:

With the swell grounding most of the beach crowd, the piers have been where most of the action has been taking place. Reports of the Threshers showing again up in LA! South LA county hooked a few and a solid report of a landed fish in North LA have hopes for a good season on the rise. Theres even been some Soupfin caught and quite a few Shovelnose making a comeback as well! Good signs all around.

 Orange County Shark Fishing Report:

Orange county continues to see solid ray action and a few leopards have started to slip into the mix as well. The threshers are off again this week, perhaps a result of the large swell. With any luck the warm water coming up from Mexico with the swell should bring a little hotter action in the coming week!

San Diego County Shark Fishing Report:

Swell and weed continue to be a limiting factor in SD County, but there are fish. Right now there is a solid grunion run happening and with any luck we should see some activity as a result! Next week should be an interesting one!
