Panama City, Florida Summer Bottom Fishing
The weather is hot and the fish have been chewing it down as of late. In the summer in Florida panhandle we usually go bottom fishing.

American Red Snapper has opened in both state and federal waters and the bite has not disappointed. We have been limiting out on Red Snapper every trip while picking up Red Grouper, black snapper, scamp and plenty of Vermillion Snapper and pogeys.

We also had the chance to run an offshore trolling trip the other day. The weather was stellar and we started the day off catching one of three nice dolphin and adding a wahoo to the box. We raised a blue marlin in the 200-300lb range and had him all over the spread but was never able to hook him up. We ended the trip with a nice yellowedge grouper and a big blue line tilefish.
Fishing has been great and will only get better with gag grouper season opening July 1st.
