Catching Redfish while Wade Fishing in Ft. Pierce.

I mentioned in one of my most recent videos that I really wanted to catch a redfish while wade fishing. a man named Marco sent me an email and told me he had a good spot where we could got on them and I was stoked! Just  a quick note on how social media has changed the game for fishermen. I cannot tell you how many people I have met through social media and how many fishing trips I would have missed out on if it wasn't for the power of social media. Some hate, some love it and I'm pretty neutral, but anyways on to the fish.

With the summer freshwater discharges, much of the grass in the Indian River had died and I quickly discovered this on my many wade trips this past winter.

Well Marco knew where the grass was and told me it was our best shot at going toe to toe with some redfish. We headed up to Ft. Pierce and the day honestly started out super slow. We caught a few jacks, but no snook, reds, or trout for the first hour. We did see big jacks blowing up mullet all day long, but the big ones did not want to eat anything we threw at them. We managed to catch 2 redfish, 4 snook and I pulled off on a 23in class trout when going to land him. Always a good time out there and meeting new people, exchanging stories and learning a new fishery sealed the deal!
