Palm Beach Fishing: November In Review

Palm Beach Fishing for Mahi Mahi

Fishing throughout the month of November was rough, with the pun intended!! The weather was windy and very rough making offshore fishing very difficult for the majority of us that don’t have 60+ foot boats. We are still in the transition of waiting for the cold fronts to pass bringing the major pods of sailfish with them. The cold fronts have been moving through almost back to back, making it rough seas and windy and rainy weather. The few days we were able to run offshore we were able to locate some rip lines holding mahi mahi, where trolled ballyhoo combined with chunked or pitched bait would keep a school nearby for a nice, successful fishing trip. The bottom fishing for mutton and yellowtail snappers had remained good, triple hooked sardines or cut squid seemed to be the ticket. From 80-130 feet off Jupiter or north of Palm Beach have been holding the fish.
