We Can't Wait For Spring Fishing!
Winter in Rhode Island translates to sitting on the ice with a handful of tip-ups hoping you get a flag from a 10-15lb pike. Once the ice is gone in early March you might catch the occasional carp and large mouth bass, if you are lucky you get a nice sized pike. May is when the season starts to kick off!!

"Many days you can go out and catch five Stripers in under 3 hours"
The freshwater fish are much more aggressive making a simple day a lot more fun, and the Striped Bass are in the bay! In May we experience some of the best shallow water Striped Bass bite around! Most fish are in the 10-25lb range with the occasional 30lb fish. This is a very easy way to spend the day off or a few hours after school. With a maximum of a six mile drive you are fishing in one of the best fisheries Rhode Island has to offer!
Many days you can go out and catch five Stripers in under three hours and other days you can catch five fish in 30 minutes! This is a extremely fun light tackle reels and braid and is a great way to get out on the water before the big Bass at Block Island come in and also before tuna season! Lets hope the bite happens a few weeks early so we can get on the water!
