Wade Fishing in the Indian River. Fishing Report: Trout, and Snook.
My buddy Ryan and I hit the flats again in search of the ever elusive inshore slam being Reds, snook and Trout. Well we went to a spot that we had fished before, but decided to to walk the opposite direction of where we walked last time. The last time we had fished the South side and got into a nice mess of snook and trout. Video Below.
"After a mile of walking uncharted territory (Well for us) we deiced to walk the South, side where we had done well in the past."
This time we walked North to see if we could find a new honey hole. Well the fishing ended up being horrible on the North side with nothing, but one trout and a Snook. After a mile of walking uncharted territory (Well for us) we deiced to walk the South, side where we had done well in the past. Immediately we got into a trout bite that didn't last long, but it was also midday by now, flat, clear and very little wind. Not ideal conditions for finicky fish. We walked along the mangrove shoreline and ended the day with one more snook. It makes you wonder what if we had fished the South Side earlier in the day, and got on the morning bite! However I'm a big fan of learning new areas and fisheries, so we decided to roll the dice.
