Fishing Report:

Back To It

Author: L&H Sportfishing

We have been off the blog for quite some time fishing hard and as a family, but we are back to it now!

Everything is well the the David Family and the L&H.
The fishing has been very good as of late and the summer in general has been good for the dolphin. There have been some nice wahoos and the occasional tuna on the reef as well trolling bullbuster braid with planer rigs. The sailfish have started to begin making their presence known and we have been catching them trolling natural baits on 20lb mono. The natural baits that we primarily fish are ballyhoo that we catch ourselves.

Pictured in the photo above from left to right is James David, Christopher Marlin David, and Laurel David who are holding a nice bull size mahi-mahi aboard the L&H on a family vacation to the Bahamian island of Bimini this summer. The fish was caught on 20lb bullbuster monofilament with bullbuster 30lb fluorocarbon leader and a live cigar minnow in 2000 feet of water. The mahi-mahi was estimated to weigh about 40lbs and made for delicious fish tacos!

We are looking forward to the fall season of Miami Fishing Charters where we see bigger mahi-mahi and wahoo and the sailfishing will be improving all the time!
