December Block Island Cod Fishing
The Codfish grounds where producing nice market size cods fish all day today just to the east of Block Island. Big Jumbo Seabass where also a steady pick today. We used a typical high low rigs baited with clam tied to a 80 lb mono leader and 14 ounces of lead or with the Norwegian cod jigs.
The tackle we used today was the 50lb braid and the 80 lb leader material to make our own rigs. We used the 75lb swivel to connect the braid to the mono and the 100lb snap swivels to be able to change from jigs to lead sinkers in a moments notice.
