Bullbuster In Action:

Vermillions Out Deep

Author: Adrenaline Rush Charters

Afternoon Fishing with Timothy Mackay.

Ran my afternoon charter out yesterday. The bite was not fantastic in the morning so we tried something different. I noticed the tide backed off a lil bit. Not as much as I would have liked it to but it was manageable. Went out to some numbers I have out in 350 and tried but the customers were having a hard time holding bottom and feeling the bite. One managed to get one nice vermillion snapper out there. So I bumped us into some shallower numbers around 180 ft. Current was much better and very manageable. I marked a knot of fish 30 ft thick. So we started fishing and boom immediately the bite was on. First rig came up with two very nice verms second rig was a big 5lb porgy. And this continued for a couple minutes. Then had to move back and hit it again. Then the sharks got rank out there. We would get the singles up but if we hooked doubles they would fight a lil harder and get eaten every time. But we did manage to get out limit of 1-3 lb verms and a half dozen of very respectable porgys.

All in all very happy customers.

Was fishing 30 bullbuster main line and hi lo rig was tied with 40 Bullbuster.
