Bullbuster In Action:

Secret Spot!

Author: Str8_Hookn

Fishing in that Secret Spot is always fun.

Decided to try out a spot we haven't fished in a while due to access.  Getting there involves a .5 mile walk in the dirt through the woods with all the shark gear. Once you are at the end of the trail, you have to lower everything down a 10ft cliff to the shoreline.

So plans were made and off we went.

We get to the spot, load up the cart, put wheels under the yak and loded it down as well. After 45 min of walking and setting up, finally we a ready to gets some baits out.

Mr cownose was my bait if choice but it already had about a 3hr soak on it but figured i would give it a shot.

Hours go by and nothing; not even on the casted baits. We all agreed it was getting to be about that time and just as i started toward the Makaira 80w it began to sound off." Man i love that sound!"

"It was a heavy fish but the Makaira filled with 125lb bull-buster mono put a stop to that real fast"

The fish ran pretty well in the beginning of the fight and you could tell it was a heavy fish but the Makaira filled with 125lb bull-buster mono put a stop to that real fast. Took about 15 min to land the fish get pics and stick a tag in it.
