Landbased Shark Fishing Report
After having such success on our last trip, we decided to hit that secret spot again. We finalized our plans and loaded the trucks up the night before so that we could get straight to fishing after work. We got there about 4:30 pm and down the trail we went. Got to the end and looked out with excitement. "Oh man its glass," my buddy said. Every sharkers dream. We frantically set up and get our baits deployed, racing against the tide change. Baits went out one by one and the waiting game began. Thankfully, it was just a short while and we started getting some action on the casted baits. Got this first fish on my Diawa bg 8000 filled with 65lb Bullbusterbraid. This fish stood no chance .

There was not much time for picture taking of that fish. As we were taking the hook out and posing for pics, the Duel 9/0w started dumping. My buddy ran over to the screaming reel and grabbed the rod while I was releasing the little lemon. I can barely hear him scream out "Fish On". I run back up the beach and help him get the harness on.

All clipped in, it didn't take too long for him to put the fish within leadering distance but the fish had other plans. Every time i could almost reach the leader the fish would take off. This guy wanted to play tug of war. Guess that's what happens when you get the fish in green. I was up for the challenge. Using the right gear makes a big difference and the Bullbuster Mono 125lb the Duel was filled with definitely did the job. It gave me the advantage to get this guy up on the beach, take the hook out, and get the measurements.

He taped out 101'. We snapped a quick picture and back he went

The rest of the night was plagued with screaming run after run and no hook ups. Seems like they were going to make us work for it tonight. In between the madness we manage to land 2 more juvenile lemon sharks on the 8000 but no more monsters.

Until next time secret spot.
All fish were hooked in the corner of the mouth with circle hooks which made hardware removal easy. Leaders were made from Bullbuster Grander Leader .
