Aloha,
My name is Kainoa Lum I was born and raised on the island of Kaua’i. Fishing has been a big part of my life from a young age learning the different styles depending on the season. Most of my childhood I was into shore line fishing, and as I got older I got into fishing off of the boat. Luckily my father was a commercial and on the weekends I would join him for fishing trips either trolling for pelagic species or bottom fishing for some of Hawaii’s most tasty snappers. Learning the techniques to land amazing fish was definitely a life lesson. Fast forward to a few decades later, and I’m applying modified techniques I’ve learned while fishing with limited amount of work space off of my jetski. You definitely don’t have too much room for error so you need to have an efficient system to successfully land amazing fish.
